I recently made Quiet Books for the grandchildren. Sadly, it doesn't seem like that long ago I made two books for the twins... but it was nearly a quarter a century ago.
Life has changed a lot since then. Instead of a corded phone with a receiver to velcro to the book, I made a felt cell phone to put in a jean pocket. Also, with the embroidery sewing machine, I was able to add some details by machine, where before the lettering was done by hand or liquid embroidery. One thing hasn't changed - it's hard for kids to sit still and quiet for any amount of time!
The next baby boy quilt I designed. I finally got it pieced. Now just to buy backing and batting, and get it sandwiched. Hopefully I'll have time to begin quilting it on our way down to Branson the end of this month. With Rebecca and Rachel both expecting, I'm working on getting a stash of baby quilts done.
